"Providing scholarships, mentorship, and care packages for African American males attending HBCUs."
A Gift From Tray was established on December 3, 2020, as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, inspired by the acts of service performed by the late Trayvon Delane Trammer. Our mission is to provide young African American males from single-parent homes with the support they need to thrive in college and beyond.
We recognize the unique challenges these students face, from financial burdens to adjusting to life away from home. Through scholarships, mentorship, and care packages, we aim to be an extra layer of support, ensuring their success and well-being.
At A Gift From Tray, we believe that every young man deserves the opportunity to succeed, no matter his circumstances. Founded in loving memory of Trayvon Delane Trammer, our mission is to uplift, support, and empower African American males from single-parent homes as they pursue higher education at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We understand that the journey to and through college can be filled with challenges—financial hardships, emotional struggles, and moments of uncertainty—but no student should have to navigate it alone.
Through scholarships, mentorship, and care packages, we strive to be a source of encouragement and tangible support for these young men. Whether it’s assisting with tuition and books, providing personal care essentials, or simply offering a listening ear, A Gift From Tray is dedicated to ensuring that students feel seen, valued, and equipped for success. Every act of kindness we extend is a reflection of the heart and spirit of Trayvon, whose legacy of generosity continues to touch lives beyond his time with us.
We invite you to join us in this mission. Whether you are a student seeking support, a donor looking to make an impact, or a mentor eager to give back, there is a place for you in our community. Together, we can create a future where more young men walk across the graduation stage with confidence, knowing they were never alone on their journey. Welcome to A Gift From Tray—where hope, love, and opportunity come together to change lives.
